Bytefabrik IIoT application platform

The IIoT application platform is our basis for the development of intelligent industrial IoT applications. Based on the open source solution Apache StreamPipes initiated by Bytefabrik, you get a comprehensive development platform for your planned Industrial IoT application.

Our application platform takes care of all the things that form the basis of any data-driven IIoT solution:

• Easy connection of live machine data without programming knowledge with over 30 connectors, e.g. OPC-UA, S7, Modbus, ADS, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, CANopen and many more.
• Modular system with over 100 preconfigured algorithms for data cleansing and real-time analysis
• Integrated modules for data persistence and queries on historical sensor data
• Flexible alerting and data transfer to third-party systems without programming effort with many interfaces for notifications (e.g. Microsoft Teams) or external databases
• Microfrontend technology for the development of your solution-specific, web-based user interface
• Integrated views for visual data exploration and a live dashboard as standard
• Modern microservice architecture with edge-based pre-processing and geographically distributed deployment

Bytefabrik Manufacturing Insights

Bytefabrik Manufacturing Insights is our product family for 360-degree data analysis of automated production plants.

Your production control system serves as the data basis - our software records all relevant parameters at high frequency and automatically creates a complete picture of the situation, which helps process engineers and quality managers not only to find plant problems, but also to prevent them. Bytefabrik Insights offers numerous functions for analyzing plants, stations and processes:

• Automated detection of all activities and events from the control system and derivation of key figures
• All process parameters at a glance at all times, e.g. force, distance, test results, temperature data
• Intuitive process exploration, e.g. by production days, cycle and cycle times, shifts, component types, workpiece carriers
• Error analysis of all system messages
• Process analysis component for detecting process anomalies
• Life cycle for each component produced
• Traceability of quality problems such as rejects and reworking to sub-processes and causes

Bytefabrik Manufacturing Insights also uncovers problems that were previously hidden, e.g. by analyzing even the smallest trends of important process parameters in assembly and testing processes.

Bytefabrik Data Stories

Optimum operation of your plant requires the collaboration of different experts - the key is almost always the combination of factual data with the experience and knowledge of your employees.

This process is digitized by "Data Stories", an optionally available add-on module of our Manufacturing Insights product.

With just a few clicks, you can record data extracts, e.g. identified trends in process parameters, as a "data story" that you can discuss with specialist staff and derive solutions from. You record solutions such as adapted maintenance operations and make them easy to find for the future. Over time, a manual of best practices is created that is directly linked to the data basis. If a situation occurs again, the existing data story can be used to directly derive causes and measures. Employees also have an overview of the currently relevant problems at all times and can track the current processing status in a central application.

This helps your employees to learn continuously and always take best practices into account!

Manufacturing Analytics Copilot

And finally, you can experience the newest member of our Bytefabrik Manufacturing Insights product family for the first time at the Hannover Messe: Manufacturing Analytics Copilot!

The Manufacturing Analytics Copilot helps you to achieve high quality and efficiency in your automated system.

Real-time analysis of all machine and process parameters creates a complete picture of the current production quality in the background. An intelligent, AI-based analysis automatically detects deviations from the normal state and creates a data story including a summary and clear visualizations for your production experts without any further intervention.

The co-pilot learns your needs and priorities over time via an integrated feedback system. Employees such as process engineers are provided with a tool that significantly reduces the time required for troubleshooting.

In contrast to a chat-based solution, our Copilot reports independently when new process anomalies occur. This not only saves time, but also directs the focus to previously unknown problems that have a direct impact on production output.
