On 07.07.2023, the kickoff event of the EU research project ISOLDE took place.

ISOLDE is a three-year project within the KDT-JU initiative.

The overall goal of ISOLDE is to expand, mature, industrialize and make available the European high performance RISC-V ecosystem so that it can compete with existing commercial/proprietary alternatives.

The goal of the subproject "Flexible and resource-efficient IoT data analytics in RISC-V ecosystems" conducted by Bytefabrik.AI is to conceptualize and prototypical implementation of an IoT data analysis infrastructure for RISC-V-based systems.

The research and development focal points addressed in the subproject pursue the goal of demonstrating the practical applicability of a distributed and industrially applicable software solution for the analysis of high-frequency sensor data within the main application domain Smart Home/Smart Building. This will push the accessibility of RISC-V-based ecosystems in a relevant and resource-efficient hardware-dependent domain.

More than 30 partners are conducting research together on the project, which includes Infineon as coordinator as well as other major companies such as NXP and Intel.

We are very proud to be part of the consortium and hope that the research results achieved will enable our customers in the future to customers to implement very powerful edge cloud architectures at low cost.
