Organize

Question and objective

How do data and analyses remain easy to find and understand as more machines and teams are added? Organization establishes clear ownership and protects working analyses from unintended changes.

Implementation in Bytefabrik

Assets link resources to equipment context. Datasets provide stored events. Roles and resource permissions control access; settings determine the behavior of individual platform areas.

Best practices

For resources used in production, agree on at least their purpose, responsible team, and equipment association. Use clear names to distinguish test resources from approved analyses. Record dependencies: which pipeline writes a dataset, and which analyses use it?

What to consider

A naming convention does not replace permissions. An asset assignment does not replace checking the actual data filters. Consider dependent resources before changing or deleting anything.

The benefit is visible in daily work: less searching for the right dataset, fewer duplicate analyses, and clearer responsibility when issues occur.
