Project EARASHI

With support from EARASHI to the Manufacturing Analytics Copilot

Innovation is at the heart of our company. For this reason, we regularly take part in research projects in which we lay the foundations for future products and test how new technologies can help our customers to produce more efficiently. The research project EARASHI - Embodied AI/Robotics Applications for a Safe, Human-oriented Industry is all about: More trust, more safety and real collaboration between humans and machines. EARASHI is funded within the framework of Horizon Europe. As part of the project, there are two open calls to which smaller companies can also apply. One of the ten funded projects comes from Karlsruhe - and is called MANIAC.

With its title Manufacturing Analytics Copilot, MANIAC initially sounds like science fiction. In reality, it is the consistent further development of our AI-based analysis platform for industrial data. The aim is an AI assistant that evaluates the process parameters of machines, robots and assembly lines in real time, proactively reports deviations and at the same time involves the human supervisor in the decision-making process. The focus here is on the question of how AI and production employees can cooperate on an equal footing.

Bytefabrik.AI will receive a budget of 200,000 euros for the work in the project to develop individual parts of our latest technology by March 2025 and demonstrate them under real production conditions. Together with industry and research partners, we are developing new human-machine interfaces and evaluating new explanatory models for anomaly detection. The results flow directly back into our product - we were able to give a first insight into our new development at the Hannover Messe this year.

Over the next few months, we will continue to expand Copilot - stay tuned!
