The product life cycle is a centrally managed, digital file that automatically records every production step, every product feature and all process parameters. This creates a complete data record for each serial or batch number: production periods, machine parameters, process and quality values, cycle times and other information such as workpiece carriers.
Unlike traditional traceability solutions, which often only store coarse-grained information, the Bytefabrik approach focuses on making all control data assigned to a product at the time of manufacture accessible in the long term.
In short: you can now answer customer complaints and queries in a fraction of the time you previously needed for research!
The product life cycle is suitable for series production and automated systems. Similar to the production analysis, we use the raw data from the industrial control system to create the product life cycle. We use the identifier available in the control system (e.g. DMC) as the product identifier. This identifier accompanies the workpiece through all stations.
Each machining and each process step is assigned to the identifier. The relevant process parameters and times are recorded for each production step. The entire history is stored in a high-performance database, which users can call up via the user interface or programmatic interfaces: from the current assembly to the audit case from years ago.
This creates a resilient product life cycle without any additional effort - audit-proof, user-friendly and scalable for millions of data records.
In the event of complaints, detailed information, e.g. limit values complied with, can no longer be found.
Preparing quality certificates for customers takes a lot of time and involves searching in Excel documents.
Test protocols are not maintained uniformly and make comparability difficult.
